Growing up on a farm in Western Canada, I was surrounded by rolling vistas of canola, wheat, and barley. Our family owned a large number of beef cattle, as well as chickens, pigs, ducks, horses, and a variety of dogs and cats. At one point I considered being a veterinarian, however I competed a degree in science, with a major in food science instead.
After university, the world was calling, and I left to backpack around South America. I traveled for 3 months through Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador and had an amazing time! I was now infected with the travel bug, and was hooked on seeing the world! During that trip I saw cultural places like Machu Picchu, the Nazca Lines, Lake Titicaca, and also went off the beaten trail into little towns to meet the locals, and communicated using some rough Spanish and charades. It was a magical experience that I will never forget!
The next passage of time was spent a bit closer to home raising 3 boys, and pursuing a variety of careers related to my degree in science. It is now time for a new adventure, and I am excited to join my husband Greg, who has been a travel consultant for over 16 years, to form a travel team. Helping people with their dreams of seeing the world, and planning vacations, makes our hearts sing!
Since my younger days of backpacking, I have been pampered on many wonderful cruise ships, and have seen places like: Aruba, St. Thomas, Bermuda, St. Martin, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Bonaire, and the Hawaiian Islands, just to name a few. Both my husband Greg and I are more than happy to share our inside knowledge of many countries, cities, ships, itineraries, and resorts, first hand with you.
We love spending time on ships meeting new people, enjoying breakfast on our private balcony, enjoying the phenomenal entertainment, taking classes like wine tasting, or origami (yes.. Greg did this!), getting spa treatments, sipping drinks by the pool, and enjoying the peacefulness of being mesmerized by the ocean waves as we cruise along. It is something we feel everyone deserves to experience, and we are very passionate about cruising, and travel in general.
When I’m at home I dabble with mixed media art, and crafty activities of all kinds. Greg and I can be seen “cruising” around on our own motorcycles in the summer throughout the spectacular Okanagan valley where we live. We love cruising! Ha!
Thank you for reading a bit about my background, and I would be honored to help you with your next cruise, all-inclusive vacation, or land tour, and make your dreams come true!
